Food pyramid

Food pyramid: A Food guide pyramid is quantitative nutrition guideline, using a mnemonic graphic of a pyramid with hierarchical separated zones to represent suggested percentages of the daily diet for different food groups. The first food pyramid was introduced in 1992 by the USDA, which replaced it in 2011 with MyPlate. Since the USDA's pyramid, several other countries and organizations have also published nutrition suggestions in pyramidal representation.
